Morris Heavy Duty Cranes, the 5-500 Series, share many of the features of the 4-400 in terms of design and manufacturing standards. However the 5-500 series has been designed for heavy duty applications with extended duty cycles and high levels of loading such as may be found in the metal-working industries, power station applications and with eletromagnetic or magnet grabbing equipment.

An open barrel hoist, of proven design, provides trus vertical lifting. Separate gearbox, brake and motor equipment allows for ease of maintenance. live axle drive system and precise speed control on all motors allows for smooth and accurate movement. Operating life of the equipment extended through stress and shock reduction. Optional multiple auxiliary hoists allow greater control over load movement. Available with double of triple hoists as required. 5-500 series is available in congifurations of Double Girder, Goliath and Semi-Goliath.
