When steel producer Corus needed two rope drums for a 500 tonne crane they turned to Morris. At 14ft long and 5ft diameter with spurgears of over 10ft diameter the drums were unusual critical parts. The experience of our in-house engineering along with our unique specialist machining capabilities were crucial to the project success.
